Fasting is one of the keys to the kingdom but really keys of authority
In Matthew 6: 16-18 Jesus explains when we fast not if we fast . This is a preparation or a transfer of authority. Or think of it like a gift of authority through obedience from a loving Father.
James 4: 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. It becomes very clear reading in the Bible all these great men wanting to draw close to God that fasting and prayer was a key. Remember who we serve. Hebrews 11: 13-16
